More than 1,000 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails make the Ore Mountains a paradise for cross-country skiers and ski hikers. From beginners to professionals, from classic cross-country skiing to skating style - the idyllic winter landscape of the Ore Mountains have a perfect trail ready for everyone. One special gem is the Kammloipe. It takes you over 36 kilometres on the mountain ridge from Johanngeorgenstadt in the Ore Mountains to Schöneck in the Vogtland region and is probably one of the most beautiful and snow-sure cross-country ski runs in Germany.
